I received a random e-mail from amazon today showing me the latest styles of shoes available for my purchase. It had a cute pair of flipflops so I clicked on it to see if I could find out more details and it took me to a website with pictures of the latest shoes.
I have to tell you I feel pretty good about the fact that I'm missing out on this trend.
So then I went in search of my flipflops and I came across these....
"Jesus sandals" as my friend Michelle likes to call them. I had to smile because I remembered walking with Michelle in downtown Toronto (one of her favorite places to be) and slipping into the Eaton Centre just as it was closing. We saw some of these sandals in the window and I remember Michelle telling me that she had been wanting to find a pair of "Jesus sandals". That was a couple of years ago. Michelle claims that her fashion choices are just ahead of the trend...it appears that she might be right!
Sadly, I'm not as fashion forward as you, Michelle. I'll be skipping this trend too although these ones could be cute!
Be brave, Beth. I vote for the zebra stripe shoes. They'd be perfect for chasing after 1st and 2nd graders! LOL!
