So what's your packing style? Are you a prepared packer or a procrastinating packer like me?

Procrastinating Packer
It's about 24 hours before I'm supposed to be leaving on a month long trip that will take me from Charlotte to Houghton, NY on to Toronto and then back to Charlotte before I finally return home. You might think that I've got everything packed and ready to go especially since I'll be gone for over a month. Now I'm going to share some shocking photos with you my friends. Yes, that's right my suitcase is sitting completely empty behind my door and my carry on suitcase is sitting empty on my floor except for that one shirt that I didn't unpack from my weekend trip two weeks ago. I can honestly tell you that I haven't packed a thing yet!I guess you could call me a procrastinating packer. Since my college days I have always been a last minute packer. The night before I leave I am up until the wee hours of the morning getting it all together. What can I say? I like the pressure plus if I don't pack maybe I won't have to go. :)

Love that you are blogging. It is one of my favorite things.
ReplyDeleteI wait to the last minute to pack and always over pack!
Toronto!!
ReplyDeleteCan hardly wait to see you honey!!
I used to be a last minute packer, however Emma changed all of that. With the amount of luggage we need just to take everything she needs, I have to start early or we'd never get out the door for our trip! :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a wonderful trip! We'll see you when you get back home.
Lists...it's all about lists and organization and ziploc bags and piles--oops, I might be a little OCD--...and staying up till midnight to get the job done! Have a great trip, Beth Ann!
ReplyDeleteBecky, I love that you use "Tooters" as your username. One can always depend on family for a good name, eh! :) Hey, I just had some fun hanging out with Karen and Jacob. We got to shop for some cute clothes for Karen! What a cutie Jacob is...I hear there are more neices or nephews in your future, Auntie Becky.
ReplyDeleteI am the same way. You should see the mess after I leave for anywhere, Lindsey, can so confirm. Glad you enjoyed Nana, I miss her so much. She told me last weekend that she loved the dogs more than me because she sees them more, then she recanted when she remembered that I was her ride home that afternoon... Now that I know about your blog, I can keep track of you...
ReplyDeleteI also like to pack the night before. I have started packing for shorter trips by actually making outfits based on the weather. That sounds a bit OCD, too. It works, though. I like packing the night before because usually I'm anxious/excited about the trip and will have trouble sleeping anyway.
