What could be cuter?
My number one favorite was this one...you could see incredible detail which is hard to see in this picture. I thought the movement in it was amazing.
This little lumber jack act was definitely entertaining.
This was a big castle made out of ice....once inside you could definitely feel the temperature drop!
Here I am in front of the Ice Castle with Fatu Litsey.
We ended the day with dinner at La Roy Jucep in Drummondville. They are the inventors of Poutine, a Quebecois specialty.
Fries and squeeky cheese covered in gravy. Here in Quebec Poutine is kind of like pizza - you can get a variety of different toppings under that gravy. Poutine tastes much better than it looks...however, I wasn't a big fan of the "original" poutine. The gravy tasted a little bit like ketchup!

Awwesome. I always wanted to go to the carnival, we missed it the year we were there as we were in the US for Phil's dad's funeral.
ReplyDeletePoutine UGH! I could not swallow it. Brave of you to eat it. HA!
It was so much fun...and I don't even like the cold that much...but it's definitely good, cheap entertainment.
ReplyDeleteHello! You commented over at my blog during a time when I wasn't really blogging very much, and now that I've picked it up again, I can't remember if I ever got back to you or not. I just want to let you know that your blog is so pretty, and those pictures are making me wish I lived in a place that had some snow!
ReplyDeleteWe loved the Winter Carnival... these photos bring back such lovely memories. I think Quebec City has been my favorite place ever to live.
